Statens Kunstfond: Production and Exhibitions, Contemporary Art in Denmark and Abroad (2026 autumn round)

📍 Remote

Organisation: Statens Kunstfond (Danish Arts Foundation) Location: Denmark and abroad. Non-Danish venues and organisations may apply, but only for exhibitions that feature Danish artists. Award: DKK. No published minimum or maximum; the committee assesses each application on its merits and historical awards are published on the site. No stated co-financing requirement. No application fee. Applications must be submitted digitally via the Danish subsidy portal (Tilskudsportalen). Duration: Project-length; production and exhibition periods vary. Deadline: 24 Sep 2026 The Danish Arts Foundation's Production and Exhibitions programme funds the production, dissemination and exhibition of contemporary art in Denmark and abroad, and it is one of the few Nordic national schemes a foreign organisation can apply to directly. Eligible costs include creating new works where an exhibition agreement is in place, exhibition costs, exhibition programming featuring Danish or international artists, promotion tied to an exhibition, and honorariums covering artists' work and installation time, which lets a festival or biennial cover commission and artist-fee lines. THE KEY CONDITION for non-Danish applicants is that the exhibition must feature Danish artists; Danish artists and venues face no such restriction. No minimum or maximum grant is published since the committee decides case by case, and previous award levels are visible on the site. Two 2026 deadlines apply: 26 March 2026 (closed) and 24 September 2026 at 14:00, with the application form opening one month before each deadline. TIMING: applicants receive a response no later than twelve weeks after the deadline, so expect a decision by mid-December 2026. Applications must go through the Danish digital subsidy portal; submissions outside it are rejected except in very special circumstances. FLAG: earliest-start-date rules are not specified on the funder's page. Open call details Want to see more grants? Visit The Grant Desk (https://www.artificialnouveau.com/smalltools/grants/).
