About

Organisation: Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs Location: Remote, open to youth worldwide. Award: Up to USD 2,500 in project funding per fellow, plus mentorship and capacity-building programming. Twelve youth are selected annually. No application fee. Duration: One year, January to December 2027 Deadline: Closed 30 Aug 2026 Bow Seat's True Blue Fellowship funds youth-led projects that use the creative arts as their primary method for building awareness or driving action on ocean, waterways and climate change issues, including environmental justice. Twelve fellows are selected each year and receive up to USD 2,500 in project funding alongside mentorship, capacity-building programming, and access to a peer community that includes the Future Blue Youth Council and Bow Seat staff. ELIGIBILITY: youth worldwide aged 16 to 24 at the start of the fellowship period in January. Individuals, groups and youth-led organisations may apply, with one designated project leader for a group. Projects must be new or emerging, meaning less than two years old, and should span at least one year running January to December. Applications must be submitted in English, though translation tools are acceptable, and applicants should be comfortable with spoken English for peer collaboration. NOTE: this is a youth programme with an upper age limit of 24, and the creative-arts requirement is central rather than incidental, so proposals built on other methods are out of scope. Deadline 30 August 2026 at 11:59pm ET. Open call details Want to see more grants? Visit The Grant Desk (https://www.artificialnouveau.com/smalltools/grants/).
